Installing Software

To Whom It May Concern:

I've downloaded the gnupg installation package and I'm running into some trouble building it.  When I go to configure, I receive an error that reads "no acceptable compiler found in $PATH." I appreciate any assistance as I'm not so familiar with building files of this type.
