supersede key on key-server

That is exactly what happens.  Updated keys have the new information
(e.g. UIDs, signatures and revocations) added, but the old data
remains.  Old data should be indicated as such by revoked information
(UIDs, signatures or whole keys), but that doesn't always happen.
