In some cases the person making the signature simply wishes to provide
assurance the message really came from them and it has not been
altered in transit. In such a case, the timestamp is very much an
irrelevance.
There was a desire expressed by the starter of this thread
(in Message-id <20110608153652.4F1508C074 at nym.dizum.nl> and expanded
upon in Message-id <20110616002944.974948C0D8 at nym.dizum.nl>) for an
ability to create signatures without revealing information about the
signer's time management.
