Enigmail is an extension for Thunderbird and Mozilla mail. It uses GnuPG for its
cryptographic processing. It conforms to RFC2 4880 and 3156. That said, you
shouldn't have any trouble.
However, I've not used the mail extensions in PGP Desktop, so I cannot make any
claim to compatibility. You may wish to ask on the PGP-Basics Yahoo list. There
are a greater percentage of PGP users there.
