That is what I meant by observing that convenience is often the
opposite of security. It is convenient to not have to lock/unlock
doors, just like it is convenient to not have to keep on entering
passwords. In both those cases, the price paid for that convenience is
a reduction in security. I make no comment about whether it may be a
good or a bad thing, since that depends on the threat model.
