Encrypt a signed text

I haven't tried this, so i don't know how it would work,
but you might try to CAT and pipe to gpg encrypt,

i.e.

split the signature from the plaintext
CAT the plaintext and the .sig file into one file
then pipe it into gpg --encrypt

if anyone has actually done this, please post,
