Hi Pete,

thanks for looking at this case.

FWIW, I am consider to make LDAP and optional feature.  Most users are
likely interested in OpenPGP and thus keyserver access and don't need
the former main feature of Dirmngr (LDAP based X.509 certifciate
lookup).
