Hehe :). I think what Diego means, is that a SIM card can still be protected by
a PIN. You would need to enter the PIN before you had access to the SMS,
similarly as the private DO's on the OpenPGP card.
I use the GNU Privacy Guard (GnuPG) in combination with Enigmail.
You can send me encrypted mail if you want some privacy.
