I'm not commenting on the rest of this topic, but let me pick this one
How exactly can the identity ever be unknown when we're talking about
stuff encrypted to an OpenPGP public key or signed by one? That's a
completely unique identifier!
I use the GNU Privacy Guard (GnuPG) in combination with Enigmail.
You can send me encrypted mail if you want some privacy.
