A FAQ

Q: Why did you stop maintaining the official GnuPG FAQ?
A: Inappropriate pressure from RMS, as well as to protest FSF's
decision to reappoint him to the Board.

Q: So if you're writing this, that means things are changing?
A: Nope. Still not going to maintain the official FAQ.

Q: So what's this email about?
A: I'm going to write an unofficial FAQ. If the core team
wants to later on bless it as an official resource, they
can, but as far as I'm concerned it will be 100% unofficial.

Q: Why now?
A: Because I'm sick and tired, and tired and sick, of doing
nothing as my country tears itself apart. I can't do much
but I can explain things well. Maybe that will make GnuPG
more useful to people who are deeply concerned about the
trend of Western democracies towards surveillance capitalism
    and authoritarian rule.

Q: How can I help?
A: Let me know what questions you've always had.

Q: What will the format be?
A: HTML, PDF, and ePUB.

Q: Are you accepting contributions?
A: No. I want there to be one authorial voice.

Q: Good luck, man.
A: That's not a question, but thanks. We all need it.
