As a very-long-time (multiple decades) lurker on this list, and
follower of Werner and Robert since the late 1900s [8-)], I feel
obligated to implement MeatBallWiki's DefendEachOther and say that I
have never found Robert to be guilty of hyperbole when he is being
serious. Besides being one of the best expositors I have ever had the
privilege of reading, he is also extremely diligent about providing
the math or science behind his claims. His old FAQ on sixdemonbag was
a complete eye-opener for anyone who understood basic physics and
algebra. If you find his claims fantastical, I respectfully suggest
that you verify the analysis for yourself. If he is wrong, he will be
the first to admit it.
Thank you,
Avi
