[gnutls-dev] Various build issues

I have checked out the latest available copy of gnutls, and
I can't get it to build.  It appears to require autoconf
2.50 which, of course, is not very common or available.
Not even RedHat 7.2 has autoconf 2.50 available.  Would it be
possible to convert the configure stuff to use autoconf 2.13 
which is far more common?
