[gnutls-dev] Is 2MB too large for self tests? (was: Re: gnutls 1.1.15 -- (repost, for completeness, last try didn't show up))

The old test suite was ~600kb, but the new one is ~2MB, compressed.
Do people feel this is too large?  It might be that both the old and
the new test suite are useful, if so that would enlarge the package by
~2.6MB (compressed).

I'm inclined to say that 2.6MB is cheap compared to knowing that your
recently built software is working reasonably.  But I don't know if
someone here feel strongly about it.

If nobody objects, the next release will incorporate the NIST test
suites (conditioned on licensing issues).

CVS now has 'tests/pkits_*' as well, which uses the new test suite.
Simplistic parsing of the structures, but some crypto is involved so I
think it is useful self test.
