FWIW, I recently updated neon (http://www.webdav.org/neon/) to use the 
new gnutls_x509_dn_get_rdn_ava() function and it works great.  neon's 
GnuTLS-based SSL support is now 99% feature-complete relative to 
OpenSSL.  I'm looking forward to seeing a new GnuTLS stable release!
