It's a bug in Autoconf 2.66.  There's a discussion with the title
"AC_CHECK_SIZEOF([int *]) is error in autoconf-2.66" on autoconf at gnu.org.

There's a patch that fixes the problem.  Autoconf 2.67 is available in the
git repository, but not yet on the GNU ftp server.
