configure:9752: checking for NETTLE
configure:9760: $PKG_CONFIG --exists --print-errors "nettle >= 3.1"
Package nettle was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `nettle.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
Package 'nettle', required by 'virtual:world', not found

You have to set PKG_CONFIG_PATH so that pkg-config finds it's configuration in /usr/local/lib/pkg-config/ (or lib64, wherever it is).
