Would it be possible to pass make the expected expiry time available to the application using GnuTLS? The Apache socache modules implement expiry by themselves, so it would be better to set the expiry time expected by GnuTLS when storing the entry. Looking at the patches a function that operates on the entry data `gnutls_datum_t` could do that without changing the API.

Implementing `gnutls_db_set_add_function` with socache will be tricky using socache, but having an atomic add function could be an option to share a ticket key across a cluster of servers.
