Thank you for finding the issue. The existing support for PKCS#7 is mostly pre-CMS, and the newer additions focused on microsoft generated (cat) files. It would be certainly good to make that more generic and support the structures from rfc4134. About the 4.6, I wouldn't really bother fixing because (1) such certificates were never used in practice, (2) DSA is an obsolete algorithm.
