I understand, I have overreacted in my first response, sorry for that. We want these reports so we can improve documentation.

Hmm, older versions than 3.3.0 may have problems. I've created https://gitlab.com/gnutls/gnutls/merge_requests/1162 to document as precisely as I could the behavior.
