I simply do not know whether 8f2c9437acd205c4b2e1f02bde0b14a58e4b4127 (using type instead of which) is a good idea. "type" is a XSI extension and therefore not required by POSIX, otoh afaict "which" is not mentioned in POSIX at all. There is also "command -v". ;-)
