Thank you for the report. The test is known to be flaky for a long time and I finally found time to investigate it. In the log there is a line like `Checking TLS 1.3 with 0...` with a mysterious number, which is 1000 on my environment.

Looks like it's a Unix group ID maintained by the [GROUPS](https://www.gnu.org/software/bash/manual/html_node/Bash-Variables.html#index-GROUPS) envvar, specially treated by Bash, but we also use it for a different purpose. So I suppose this [patch](https://gitlab.com/gnutls/gnutls/-/merge_requests/1747/diffs?commit_id=cd70528485e64ee10c1dcbfe8f6517c3bd05948c) should fix it.
