<p>All irrelevant TODOs and REMARKS are removed in subsequent commits. I've rebased everything in logical commit chunks but sometimes there are some TODOs or comments left that I couldn't remove without rewriting my entire code. If it's easier I can merge all commits so that you only see the end result?</p>

<p dir="auto">I've provided a review of the first commit message. Given your comment above what would you prefer to do, would you like to discuss the suggestions, and after that merge the commits for another review? I think all but the last commit are very related and make sense to be merged (if possible please separate auto-generated changes).</p>
