My preference would be merging a patch from <a href="https://gitlab.com/gnutls/gnutls/-/issues/1007#note_356637206" data-original="https://gitlab.com/gnutls/gnutls/-/issues/1007#note_356637206" data-link="false" data-link-reference="true" data-project="179611" data-issue="35210503" data-reference-type="issue" data-container="body" data-placement="top" title="Testsuite error - listening on IPv6, connecting to IPv4" class="gfm gfm-issue has-tooltip">#1007 (comment 356637206)</a>, as I find the resulting behaviour less surprising. This, or binding a single <code>AF_INET6</code> to <code>in6addr_any</code> without <code>IPV6_V6ONLY</code> and taking advantage of IPv4-to-IPv6 address mapping, but I'm not sure whether that won't open a can of compatibility worms for platforms other than mine.</p>
