<p dir="auto">From what i can tell, <code>GNUTLS_NO_EXPLICIT_INIT</code> actually disables the <em>implicit</em> call to <code>gnutls_global_init</code>, according to <a href="https://gnutls.org/manual/gnutls.html#gnutls_005fglobal_005finit" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">the documentation of <code>gnutls_global_init</code></a>.</p>
<p dir="auto">Can GnuTLS rename this to <code>GNUTLS_NO_IMPLICIT_INIT</code>? (perhaps it would also be a good idea to check for, accept, and warn about anyone using the older <code>GNUTLS_NO_EXPLICIT_INIT</code> variable -- and at the next major release, drop it)</p>
