<p dir="auto">aiui, an elliptic curve of sensible properties that uses N bits is considered to be roughly equivalent to N/2-bit symmetric crypto, so i don't think a new field is necessary,just an adjustment of the math in <code>lib/pubkey.c#L68</code>.</p>

If you're not sure why it's 57 instead of 56, maybe we can just correct it to match X448? I'll try to propose a tested correction, and folks can critique/complain if there's something wrong.</p>
