<p dir="auto">Note that in QEMU, gnutls does not directly get to talk to the raw socket, instead it does I/O via a pair of function callbacks into QEMU's I/O layer.</p>
<p dir="auto">Also note that QEMU is getting support for another kernel networking feature MPTCP - multipath TCP, and I'm told that this is currently mutually exclusive with KTLS.</p>
<p dir="auto">Thus gnutls won't be able to transparently turn on KTLS, without modification of QEMU, and in some scenarios it won't be able to use it at all.</p>
