<p dir="auto">Consider the users. They want things to go as fast as possible, and to break as little as possible. I think we expect kTLS to be faster in every case, which argues for trying to enable it always. But if it's not available, don't fail, fall back to userspace. If this is true then no configuration should be necessary.</p>
