I am trying to build the recent Debian GnuTLS package 3.3.17 on a somewhat older Debian system. It needs autogen which in turn needs Guile. Guile brings an awful lot of dependency problems. As far as I can see, autogen is used to process large amounts of text. Is it needed by GnuTLS apart form I presume, documentation purposes ? Thanks.
