Dear Seth,

Evolution certainly is important and should
offer gpg support for OpenPGP and S/MIME.

However, I understand Werner that it is sort
of demotivating to see ones code ignored and
put aside into the trashcan.
It was a bad decision by those who ruled a
year ago at ximian. Unfortunately the
new guys must live with errors of the past.
IMO in terms of fairness it is now ximian
turn to take care of gpg integration rather
then to wait for Werner to do the work again
(of course they can pay Werner :-).

The outcome of Ägypten will be a framework
that should be easily plugged into any MUA.
Of course some work is always required.
So if ximian waits until April, they can pick
up everything and connect it to Evolution.
Earlier integration requires active
participation of ximian.
