I'd go for a KDE3 desktop, too. KMail needs the kioslaves and doesn't
work with the ones from 2.x and if you call kdeinit, all applications
started after that will try to link against the KDE3 libs, which fails,
too, as you have seen. Basically, this run-3.x-app-on-2.x-desktop is
for apps that only want to link against kdelibs and don't want to talk
to other apps too much....

Well, add yourself to the To: field of any of the two mails I sent you
and you have one....
It's not that I get a bounce. The server doesn't accept the target
address in the first place...
