The whole multiple db versions thing is a mess. I've just examined a
fresh SuSE8 system, and it seems to have db2, 3 and 4. But the
interesting thing is that it has /usr/include/db.h and /usr/lib/libdb.so
which point to db4.

Will it always be the case that those exist and point to a reasonable
version of libdb?
