I would like to include the aegypten-enhanced kmail in Knoppix 3.1.
As of Version 3.1-30-07-2002, Knoppix runs the KDE 3.0.2 packages from
kde3.geniussystems.net

Unfortunately, there seems to be no easy way to integrate kmail/aegypten
into the existing KDE3.0 environment without breaking Debian package
dependencies.

Would it be possible for one of the Debian developers on this list to
provide Debian packages of kmail with (only) the patched libraries
_statically_ linked, so kmail can simply be installed in a vanilla
KDE3 environment without having to manually replace a lot of files?
