Unfortunately I've only tried Windows applications for this purpose.
And there the definitive app is without any doubt =ABXenu Link Sleuth=BB,
available at <http://home.snafu.de/tilman/xenulink.html>.

I will contact my other unix forums for more info about good unix
versions of this type of app.
