I talked with the Duesseldorf folks and they recommended

This hotel is in St.Gilles somewhat between Gare du Midi and the ULB
(FOSDEM venue).  I got a price of 182 Euro for 3 nights (w/o breakfast).

Given that there is already a high demand for rooms during FOSDEM, I
would suggest that you book yourself.  At that place of other hotels on
that area (gniibe has a hotel in the same area).

In case the hotel has no meeting room avaible, we should be able to find
a large table in the afternoon at one of the many pubs in that area; it
should still be silent enough at that time.

Gollo wrote that he would run for vice-chair in case there is no better
candidate.  Other candidatures are welcome for example to avoid the
impression that this is a German speaker dominated Verein.
