At least for Nautilus (and maybe win32), the work on GPA could be a first
step. If it is designed in such a way that the dialog for each operation
is more or less independent of the state of the rest of the program (taking
just the filename, for example), integrating it into Nautilus would just
require writing a plugin that provided the right menu entries.
