error #22 invalid engine

I didn't look into the matter anymore. I want to use my national ID card with 
kmail but since the Aegypten S/MIME plugin doesn't support pkcs#11 ...

Also, from your statement I gather that the Aegypten plugin assumes the 
certificate contains an e-mail address that matches the mailbox. Since our 
official government-issued certificates contain no e-mail address whatsoever 
they would probably be rejected anyway by this plugin. 

By the way, which distro do you use?
