pk cache?

I've got the following error issuing a
gpg -kvv | less
command:
:gpg: too many entries in pk cache - disabled

What does it means?

(gpg0.4.3/Linux/i486/Glibc2)

If I remember well, I've got the same error message when I've imported the
keyring found on gnupg ftp server, and the keys were not completely
imported.
