gpgme: differences and similarities of signatures

I'd like to know some of the major differences and similarities between
how gpgme will treat a standard data signature and a key signature.  I
assume this is being worked on in 0.4.0.  Will both use GpgmeSigStat?=20
Are there specific files I should look at in cvs for info?
