GnuPG compilation error on Solaris x86

Hi out there,

I hope I'm on the right list for the following problem.

When I try to compile gnupg-1.2.1 on my Solaris 8 x86 box it fails
with a (for me) cryptic message.

gcc version is 2.95.3
make is Gnu make 3.80 (freshly installed, since GnuPG's configure
advised me to do that).

Any ideas what I could do ?
