No this does not work because RECIPIENT may contain spaces.  So you
need a special way of quoting and then you can keep going with
multiple -r options.

Of course we could provide an option to read the recipients from a
file [descriptor] but I doubt that this does make much sense because
the numerb of reciepients is in almost all cases very small.

BTW, whats wrong with a wrapper?  That the Unix way.
