Hmm, I have

[albrecht at antares albrecht]$ gpg-agent --version
gpg-agent[3028]: Secure memory is not locked into core
gpg-agent (GnuPG) 1.9.6

and

[albrecht at antares albrecht]$ gpg --version
gpg (GnuPG) 1.2.4

I can see, though, that the gtk-pinentry window gets higher (as if the  
space over the entry somehow grows to two invisible lines) when gpg-agent  
"asks again" as I mistyped the first passphrase. May it be a problem that  
my User ID contains (a UTF-8 encoded? Not sure...) Umlaut?
