i would prefer to say that the information *can* be misleading... it can't 
be trusted at face value, because it *can* be easily tampered with. but as 
i point out, it's meant to provide convenience, not security.

so, just as it can't be inherently trusted, it shouldn't be assumed to be 
incorrect.
