Gnupg or keyserver bug?

Hi all,

yesterday I encountered a gpg error while I tried to import a key from a
keyserver. This is the first key where I saw this.

,----
| kevin at leibnitz:~/tmp $ gpg --keyserver blackhole.pca.dfn.de --homedir /tmp --recv-key EAE8EB6A
| gpg: keyring `/tmp/secring.gpg' created
| gpg: keyring `/tmp/pubring.gpg' created
| gpg: requesting key EAE8EB6A from hkp server blackhole.pca.dfn.de
|
| gpg: Ohhhh jeeee: mpi crosses packet border
| secmem usage: 0/0 bytes in 0/0 blocks of pool 0/32768
| Aborted
| kevin at leibnitz:~/tmp $ gpg --version
| gpg (GnuPG) 1.4.1
| Copyright (C) 2005 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
| This program comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY.
| This is free software, and you are welcome to redistribute it
| under certain conditions. See the file COPYING for details.
|
| Home: ~/.gnupg
| Supported algorithms:
| Pubkey: RSA, RSA-E, RSA-S, ELG-E, DSA
| Cipher: 3DES, CAST5, BLOWFISH, AES, AES192, AES256, TWOFISH
| Hash: MD5, SHA1, RIPEMD160, SHA256, SHA384, SHA512
| Compression: Uncompressed, ZIP, ZLIB, BZIP2
`----

However if I use another keyserver this works:

,----
| kevin at leibnitz:~/tmp $ gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --homedir /tmp --recv-key EAE8EB6A
| gpg: requesting key EAE8EB6A from hkp server subkeys.pgp.net
| gpg: /tmp/trustdb.gpg: trustdb created
| gpg: key EAE8EB6A: public key "Malte S. Stretz <mss at msquadrat.de>" imported
| gpg: no ultimately trusted keys found
| gpg: Total number processed: 1
| gpg: imported: 1
`----

Is this a GnuPG problem or one of the keyserver?

Regards,

Kevin

P.S. Please CC: me as I am not on the list.
