Feature Request: MS Exchange Server IDs

I need to be able to add my MS Exchange Server ID to the list of user
ids in my public key, but gpg will not allow me to do so because it is
considered an invalid email address. The ID looks like this:

/O=20TH CENTURY/OU=TWENTIETHHQ/CN=RECIPIENTS/CN=Jerel.Crosland

I know that PGP has had this support for some time. How hard would this
be to add to gpg?
