Build failure with curl-7.18.1 and GCC 4.3

Ryan,

I have a quick and dirty hack for the same issue which we ran into. The 
patches are attached and available in our bug report for gnupg 1.4.9 and 
2.0.9 at http://bugs.sourcemage.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14446.

All the patches do are obfuscate that we're passing a bit-field. :/
