Yes, the GNU project prefers the term Free Software over the later
coined term Open Source.  For a detailed description see
http://fsfe.org/documents/whyfs .  Samba uses the more specific term GNU
GPL but I don't want to use that because some parts of GnuPG are under a
a mix of licenses.
