Starting with this change smartcard operations are not working for me.
With git master (rev 75861b6) I'm seeing:

With only this patch (rev d0d9708) I get slightly different errors (see 
attached log.)

2.1.11 (or rev 167558a) works. This is debian jessie with an SPR532 reader.
