gnupg and pgp

I entered these lines in my options file and sent my public key to an PGP Version 7.0 Windows 98. I can Import my public key in PGP but when I try to rise the trust-level I get the message: 

"This is an invalid Key. Modifying the trust on this key is not allowed since trust settings on invalid keys have no effect."

Any ideas?
