GPG/PGP interoperability with Digital certificates?

I guess you do not mean digital certificates (this is what all electronic signature protocols are using) but X.509 certificates which are used in S/MIME. Well, this is not possible. X.509 and OpenPGP are totally different protocols and can't interoperate.
