Yes, thank you, now I got them. You're cooler than the average ML about such forethought. One nit, Mailman is set with an overly aggressive headers-trim setting at the moment. Every MIME-GnuPG signed posting on the archive is mangled as a consequence of the MIME information's absence. Including your postings, Werner. They look like this: From wk@gnupg.org Thu Jan 25 10:27:04 2001 From: wk@gnupg.org (Werner Koch) Date: Thu Jan 25 10:27:04 2001 Subject: [Announce] Mailing lists moved, part 2 Message-ID: <20010125094236.E15272@alberti.gnupg.de> Status: RO Content-Length: 1781 Lines: 54 --tKW2IUtsqtDRztdT Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hello again! Some folks asked me to sign important announcements like a move of a mailing list. To stop any complaints, here is it again: The GnuPG mailing lists have moved to a new server and are now handeld by Mailman. You will find instructions on how to access the Web based interface at the bottom of each mail and the DNS should have catched up by today. The new server is the same as the one which runs www.gnupg.org; so if you are interesed you can compare the IP addresses. By looking at the 'Received:' lines you will notice that you are posting to a box called porta.u64.de (named after Giovanni Battista Porta (1535-1615) and a typedef used in gpg) which does some spam checking and then forwarding it to the ML server. So, when I don't forget to hit the sign key, we can check whether Mailman handles rfc2015 signatures correct. I d/l the archive twice to double check. You should let the MIME information remain, at the least. I'm partial to User-Agent, Mailer, X-Mailer headers too, but I won't push hard. I think this is a PGP 5/6 problem. =46rom /opt/gnupg-1.0.4/doc/FAQ 5.5) Why is PGP 5.x not able to verify my messages? PGP 5.x does not accept V4 signatures for data material but OpenPGP requires generation of V4 signatures for all kind of data. Use the option "--force-v3-sigs" to generate V3 signatures for data.

If the question is still valid, I don't see why it would be a problem.=20 There is nothing in GnuPG that would violate US exportation laws. IDEA isn'= t=20 included in the source, and RSA's license expired. Even if it hadn't, RSA= =20 isn't even in the source, so there would still be nothing to violate export= =20 laws.
